Quoted per project
White paper writing
A white paper from us is 2,500–5,000 words on primary sources — standards, filings, vendor documentation — with a full source list and your own experts quoted in it, delivered ready for design. It is quoted per project on the depth of research and how many of your experts take part.
A white paper gets downloaded by one person and forwarded to another — usually the one who controls the budget. That second reader decides on the strength of the facts and the shape of the argument, not on the page count. Length is a consequence of the subject, never the product.
What you get
- 2,500–5,000 words, depending on what the subject actually requires
- Research from primary sources, with the full reference list delivered alongside
- An outline agreed before writing, so the argument is settled early
- One or two revision rounds, agreed at the quote
- Final text ready for design — layout and illustration are not part of the scope
The shape of a white paper
- The problem, stated the way your buyer would state it
- Why the usual answers fall short, with evidence
- The approach you are arguing for, and what it requires
- What it costs and what it returns, with the assumptions visible
- What to do first
You see this as a section list before writing starts. Most disagreements about a white paper are disagreements about the outline, and they are much cheaper there.
Research and sources
A source is a document that can be checked: a standard, a regulator’s text, a filing, a published dataset, a peer-reviewed paper, a vendor’s own documentation.
A source is not a listicle citing another listicle, and it is not a market-size number that six blogs repeat and none of them attribute.
Every factual claim in the draft is checked against the original, and the reference list is delivered with the text. Where a number is contested, the paper says so instead of picking the convenient version.
Working with your experts
One or two interviews with your specialists, questions sent in advance, forty minutes each. The argument and the claims are agreed with them before writing, which is also what makes publication under an expert’s name straightforward: they are signing something they already shaped.
Price and timeline
How we quote project workQuoted per project. Two to three weeks from the approved outline is typical; the variables are the number of interviews and how much original research the subject needs.
Discuss a white paperQuestions
Do you do the design too?
No. We deliver finished text with a clear structure, captions and a reference list, ready for your designer. Keeping design out of the scope is deliberate: it is a separate craft with a separate budget, and bundling it makes both worse.
Can you write about a regulated industry?
Yes, and it changes how the draft is written: claims stay attributable, nothing implies a guarantee, and anything only your compliance team can approve is flagged in the draft rather than buried in it.
What if our data is confidential?
We sign your NDA before the first document arrives. Confidential figures can be used in aggregate, anonymised, or held back entirely — you decide at the outline stage, not after the draft.
